Summer Woman Productions is eager to partner with storytellers of all kinds on the development and production of their stories. From the development and workshop of a new script, through the successful production on stage or film, we want to join you on your storytelling journey.
For six years, Amy Leland has been a member of the Playwrights and Directors Workshop at The Actors Studio. As a director in that workshop, she has helped to develop scripts as diverse as a musical about real-life serial killer Ed Gein to a play about a drug-addicted writer who finds a myserious wing in a back alley dumpster. The writers with whom she has partnered value her for her script anlysis skills and her support in the development and rehearsal process. Scripts she has helped to develop have been seen in the PDW Festival at The Actors Studio, in the Sam French Off-Off_Broadway Festival, and in readings and productions throughout the city.
In addition, Summer Woman Productions is in development on several film projects. We are also interested in reading new scripts.
Summer Woman Productions is not a funding/investment source, but rather a resource for production. Besides Ms. Leland's skills as a director and editor, we are happy to help you find the right production crew, actors, and other members of your team.
